A forest fire destroys everything in the ecosystem. this is the start o secondary succession. Secondary successios happens when a disaster destroys a previous ecosystem and a new ecosystem is formed because of it -
the aftermath
after the fire settes the forest looks very dull and lifeless. this is the begining of a secondary succession. -

after about 1-2 years after the fire, the new ecosystem begings to form some little tiny plants, AKA pioneer species. -
ecosystem forms
the grass in the new ecosystem begins to grow. this takes about 4 years after the forest fire to happen -
MORE rebuilding
Grasses, Shrubs, Pines, Young Oak and Hickory are formed. the small plants and things. this could take up to 150 years to reach its full growth -
climax community
after all of this time the ecosystem is back to its full potental. this could take up to 150 years.
