  • James Madison - Commander in Chief

    James Madison - Commander in Chief
    James Madison fulfiled his duty of being commander in chief during his second term. He was sworn in during the begining of the war of 1812. He was reluctant to join the war but it was known as "Mr. Madison's War". He was the one that issued the call to arms.
  • James K. Polk - Economic Leader

    James K. Polk -  Economic Leader
    James K. Polk determination lead him to be a godd economic leader. He managed to reduce the tariff. Polk also recreated the independent agenda which is a system that has goverment handle revenues rather than a number of banks. He has the reputation of being a expantionist.
  • Andrew Johnson - Chief Executive

    Andrew Johnson - Chief Executive
    Andrew Johnson enforced the aboliation of slavery. He followed in Abraham's footsteps by doing this. He argued with Tennesse because they refused to pass the 14th amendment stating that " no state can deprive someone of life, liberty, or property". This is why he is considred a good Chief Exectutive.

    Rutherford B. Hayes - Commander in Chief
    Ruteherford B. Hayes is considred a good commander in chief by his influnces during and after the civil war. He encouraged the Civil Service Reform to help with voting. Hayes also ordered the last troops out of South Carolina and Louisiana
  • Herbert Hoover - Legeslative Leader

    Herbert Hoover - Legeslative Leader
    Herbert Hoover first came to office in the beginning of the Great Depression. His efforts didn't bring the country out of the dpression but his progreams aided the action. Hoover's view caused some problems. He vetoed some bills that would have directly helped and affected the people.

    Dwight D. Eisenhower - Head of State
    Dwight D. Eisenhower really completed his actions as Chief Diplomat during World War II. He is seen in the pictutre laying flowers at the tomb of the Unkown Solider. Presidents are required to honor those of war.
  • Lyndon B. Johnson - Chief Executive

    Lyndon B. Johnson - Chief Executive
    Lyndon B. Johnson came into office by the assasination of John F. Kennedy. He carried out what Kenedy was unable to finish. He passed a new civil rights bill and a tax cut. Part of his agenda was the Great Society program. This program aided education, disease care, medicare and conservation.
  • George W. Bush - Party Leader

    George W. Bush - Party Leader
    George W. Bush was such a great party leader it upsets people of his time and currently. Bush lead the Republicans well and help endorse Senator Ted Kennedy by promoting No Child Left Behind.
