Rosa’s mother moved the family to Pine Level,Alabama to live eith Rosa’s grandparents,Rose and Sylvester Edwards.

At the age of 11, she started elementary school in Montgometry Industrial School, but because of her grandmother’s disease, she was forced to drop school in order to work.

She got married with Raymond Parks. Who was a guy that would fight for black people’s rights, just like his wife.

In the evening, Parks entered on a bus, she payed the ticket and sat on the reserved for black-people sit. The bus was getting fuller and fuller, as time passed, many other people entered there. The driver noticed a few white people standing up, he made all the black guys to give their seats for the white ones, but Rosa refused to.

After she refused to leave her seat on the bus, the bus driver called the police and she was arrested.
