    Rosa Parks was a black woman. When she was a little girl, she experienced the KKK walking by her house. She always thought segregation was wrong. She was best known for the Montgomery boycott.

    Rosa Parks was born on February 4th 1913 in Tuskegee Alabama. Her grandmother was a slave for white men. She went to the industrial school for girls in Montgomery.
  • She Marries

    She Marries
    Rosa Louise McCauley married Raymond Parks in 1932. She than changed her name to Rosa Louise McCauley Parks. Raymond worked for the NAACP. Rosa than started found raising and helping with other initiatives. Rosa started going to meetings and defended black peoples rights. This is what caused her to stay put in her seat on the bus.
  • Montgomery Bus Boycott

    Montgomery Bus Boycott
    Rosa Park's best known moment was when she started the Montgomery Bus Boycott. On December 1st 1455 Rose was sitting in her seat when many white men entered the bus. There was not enough room for all of them in the white section. The driver asked Rosa to leave the bus and make room for the men but she did not budge. She landed herself a spot in jail.

    Rosa's boycott was announced in black churches in the area. The church members claimed that they would continue the boycott until black people were treated with respect. Until black drivers were hired and black people could sit anywhere they wanted, the rivalry continued.
  • Rosa Died

    Rosa Louise McCauley Parks died on October 24th 2005. She died peacefully at a ripe old age of 92. She died sleeping in Detroit. There was a book to her story called The Rebelous Life Of Mrs. Rosa Parks.
