    The Magna Carta was signed by King John in Runnymeade in 1215. One right given to the people was that no "freeman" could be punished except trhought the law of the land. That right still exists today.

    William and Mary signed the English Bill of Rights in 1689. Parliment ment to stop unlawful imprissonment and no tax. It was similar to the US constitution. It protects liberties of people even if you moved you shared the same privilages as those who lived in England.

    The Albany Plan of Union was suggested by Benjamin Franklin. It was a proposal to create a unified government for the thirteen colonies. It didn't happen because colonies were hard to unite.   • Boston Tea Party

    Boston Tea Party
    Group of Massachusetts patriots protested the monopoly of American Tea importation. They seized 342 chests of tea in a midnight raid on tea ships and then threw the chests into the harbor. The 45 tons of tea took 100 colonists to complete the raid. Made the intolerable acts which closed Boston Ports and destroyed the Massachusetts government.
