The Russian people decided it was time to end the rule of the czars and a group of people called the bolsheviks decided to overthrow the government. This group was led by Vladimir Lenin.

By 1922, the bolsheviks had all of Russia's countries that were taken over organized and put under one united name with them. They called themselves the Soviet Union, and in this union communism began to spread.

By 1927, Joseph Stalin was in power and set up a 5 year plan in order to fully convert everyone to communism. He mostly focused on artists and the media as they had the biggest influence and only allowed things that related to communism.
