Richard Lionheart was born on September 8th, 1157 in the Beaumont Palace, Oxford, United Kingdom (England). He is the son of Henry the second and Eleanor of Aquitaine. Richard wasn't an only child, he had three brothers and three sisters.

Richard Becomes King

Jul 6, 1189

Richard the first becomes king upon the death of his brother Henry on July 6th, 1189 till his death in 1199.

Richard Captures The Enemies

May 12, 1191

Richard's captures his enemies, the city of Acre, Palestine, and defeats Saladin at Arsuuf, near Jaffa. This event was good becasue not only was he one of the best kings to ever rule England, he had captured the enemies who they were going to go to war with.

Richard is Captured

Feb 5, 1192

Bad event: On Richard's way back to England from Palestine, Richard is captured and handed over to Henry the 5th in which who was the Emperor of Germany. Henry demands a ransom of 100,000 marks from England in order for Richard to be released from prison.

Richard is released

Feb 4, 1194

Good event: After 2 years the ransom was paid off and Richard was finally released from captivity.

Richard Returns

Mar 16, 1195

After Richard captured the city of Palestine, he returns to England for a short period of time before he leaves to fight in France, never returing to his homeland. This event was bad because he was one of the best Kings that ever lived to rule, he devasted England leaving to never return.

Richard was wounded by an arrow from a crossbow in battle at Châlus, France.
