The Boston Massacre was the killing of 5 male patriots, (the British Army shot them) because the patriots formed a mob around the British soldiers, and a fight broke out. Which then lead to high tensions throughout the 13 colonies.

A political protest by the Sons of Liberty. The sons of liberty descuisged themselves as American indians and destroyed all the tea by throwing it in the harbor as a boycott on the taxation of tea. This was a huge step closer to the Revolutionary war.

These two battles were the first confrontion of the war (the first fights) the colonists had numbers and won the first engagments, until the 'shot herd 'round the world' at an unfair advantage, the war had began.

Still early in the American Revolutionary War, word got out that the Britain had plans to attack, so 1,200 Colonial troops overtook Bunker hill before the Britain arrived. The Britain were enformed and turned the table. The British won, but lost around 266, and more than 866 wounded. A big shock, but a self ateem boost for them in there next battles.
