Angered by the presence of troops and Boston’s colonial policy a crowd of people started throwing snowball at the troops and somebody ran in and said fire and the troops shot.

The red coats were trying to arrest John Hancock and Samuel Adams. The reason is because they had a lot of weaponry stashed and they wanted to get it. Shots were fired 8 people died and a bunch more injured.

The Declaration of Independence was adopted and put into place. Helped the colonies seek there independence from Great Britain.
