He sailed home instead of going overland. He brought back ivory, jade, jewels, porcelain and silk. He told about the Chinese use of coal, money and compasses.Marco Polo became famous for his travels through Central Asia and China.

And he conquered the Aztecs. He became mayor of Santiago de Cuba. From the emperor of the Aztecs he got jewels and gold. He then invaded Cuba and returned back to Spain.
