    General Lee surrendered to General Grant. They signed the treaty at Appomattox Court House. The Court House was located in Virgina.

    Lincoln, his wife, and friends went to enjoy a lovely play at Ford's Theater, but the event turned to joyful to a horrible tragedy. Booth, a sneaky rascal , sneaked up in to Abramham's private box. He took a gun and shot him in the back of head.

    This was the Amendment that outlawed slavery. It also canceled The Ordinance of Secession and all wartime debts. They had to write a new constitution that concluded a provision abolishing slavery.
