    Black codes
    Things happened in the South that made the Radicals very determined to stop what was happening. The black codes were laws that were in southern states. The purpose of the black codes helped alot in the South. They strengthened the control of the freed African Americans that were just set free from slavery. However, these laws helped the white because it made it a lot easier to use the African Americans to their advanatge.
  • Civil Rights Act

    Civil Rights Act
    This act was very much encouraged by the Radical Republicians. It was very much encouraged because it gave the government right to take control of what rights the african americans had.
  • Reconstruction Acts

    Reconstruction Acts
    This act was created by congress, however, later on was broek into 3 different parts.During these times, there was a new constitituion made in the south, that was directly intended for 6 individual states. It was slwoly but surely increasing throught the United States of America.
  • 14th Amendment

    14th Amendment
    There are many important factors when it comes to the 14th Amendment. Some of them being, if you took the oath, you do not have permission to take part in any part of the office, or any part of the military, army, etc. Also, the congress has power to enforce when or if the time comes.
  • 15th Amendment

    15th Amendment
    The 15th Amendment! This Amendment made it ok for the men that were African American to vote fofr congress,etc. This was a big step in the release of racism, and this was decreasing the cultural favoritism.
