This act granted citizenship to all persons born in the United States except Native Americans -
Fourteenth Amendment
This admendment granted citizenship to all persons born or naturalized in the United States and declared that no state could deprive any person from life, liberty, or property without due process of law. -
Fifteenth Amendment
This amendment said that the right to vote "shall not be denied... on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude." -
Civil Rights Act of 1871
This act, also known as the Ku Klux Klan Act, outlawed the activities of the Klan.
