Axis Powers formed
The Tripartit Pact was formed to protect the other. This pact was aimed to keeo the U.S. out of war. The Axis Powers are Germany, Italy, and Japan. -

The Act was created so the U.S. coud "lend" arms and other supplies to Britian (an allied power). It was created becaus Britian had ran out of money. This way isolationism wasn't broken and the war wouldn't spred to the U.S. -
Supporting Stalin
Hitler broke the agreement to not go into war with the Soviet Union. When he decided to invade the Soviet Union, Roosevelt decided to send the Soviet Union lend-lease supplies to them. -
Signing of the Alantic Charter
The Alantic Charter is an joint declaration of war aims. It was signed by 26 nations. Britian and the U.S pleged the following: collective security, disarment, self- determination, economic cooperation and freedom of the seas. Roosevelt would not ask for a decleration of war, but he did sign this. -
Shoot-on-Sight Policy
On September 4, 1941 a German U-Boat fired on the U.S destroyer Greer. Roosevelt ordered the Navy to shoot any German U-Boat on sight. More ships began to be attacked such as, Pink Star, Kearny, and Reuben. In result Senate allowed merchant ships to be armed. -
Japanese Attack on Pearl Harbor
A Hawaii Naval Base was attacked by the Japanese. It was a surprise attack on December 7, 1941. Over 2,000 deaths and 1,000 injured. They attacked the U.S because we had stopped trading with them and they wanted eastern dominance. This attack offically brings the U.S. into WWII.
