    FDR and Winston Churchill secretly met aboard the USS Augusta to discuss the outcome of the war. they signed together in the Atlantic Charter which was a joint declaration of war goals. those goals included,collective security, disarmament, economic cooperation, self determination.the united States is now a further choosing because of the allies.

    A U-boat torpeoded the U.S. destroyer and killed 11 people. They sank the U.S. destroyer killing more than 100 sailors. The Senate finally repealed the ban against arming merhcant ships. A formal declaration of full-scale war seemed unenviateable.

    Peace talks were going on for months and then Japan sent a decoded message to Roosevelt saying they were rejecting all American Peace proposals. - Which meant war. The next morning, a japanese bomb-diver swept over Pearl Harbor followed by a 180 Japanses war planes. In less than 2 hours, they killed 2,403 Americans and wounded tons.
