Production Schedule

  • Case Studies - Research

    I will look at 3 case studies that are related to my choosen theme for my short film. I will analyse these short films according to catergories that include - Camera, Sound, Editing and Mise- En- scene.
  • Treatment

    I will write a rough plan of what i intend to do in my short film, including what the genre will be, a short summaay of my film including the theme and number of characters, what professional films inspired me and other details regarding my short film.
  • Short Film - Pitch

    Here I will produce a questionnaire to collect audience feedback about my short film proposal. In order to then improve upon the original ideas and develop the product even further.
  • Additional changes to blog

    I will look over my blog and make any additional changes needed - whether be adding more posts about my journey of production or changing some of my posts according to our changing of ideas/plans.
  • Pre-production (props)

    Once the other tasks have been completed I will start, with my group storyboarding our short film. This will also include a recce of locations of the film and camera shots/angles/positions/lighting and timings.
    Also completing all forms (release forms for locations and actors) and assigning production roles to each member of my group.
    By this date we will ensure that my group knows what props will be necessary (if any), et al.
  • Shooting Short film

    We will allow ourselves to have 3 weeks to complete our short film (footage wise) and will have regular meetings and discuss what shots work and those that do not, therefore making sure we have time to re-shot if we are not happy.
  • Editing short film footage

    All editing for our short film must be completed by the 6th of december. Throughout I will blog the changes and the additions our group has made to our product. As well as including a tape log and an edit decision list.
  • Research and Planning the film poster and magazine review

    Will research 3 examples of proffesional, current film posters that have a similar genre to the short film we have produced. I will take notes of the locations used, the angles of the images and the use of the lighting as well as other details (text and photographic effects such as photoshopping the images).
  • Producing film poster and magazine review

    We will plan and book a photoshoot when required, as well as producing a photography call sheet, which will help to keep our shoot organised and on time.
  • Producing film poster and magazine review

    These pieces of work will be created using both photoshop and InDesgin, during the production of these two pieces of work I will regulary blog the progress of the work as well as any changes that are made.
  • Post-production focus groups

    Here I will Screen my short film to an audience who will give feedback on the film, including what worked well and what didnt through the medias of Survey monkey or another alternative.
  • Evaluation

    As a group we will decide which way we will be approaching this evalution whether individual or as a group answering the 4 questions listed. Which will include short clips and still from our short film while answering questions.
  • Re-draft Evaluation

    By this time we will have needed to edit our evaluation whether it is a directors commentary or an individual creative evaulation.
