    Proclamation of 1763
    This event prohibited settlers from moving west, of the Mississippi. King George III created it to keep the land, that was for the French/Indian war, organized. Many people didn't care, or want to know what it was for, so most just kept to themselves.
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    The Boston Massacre was an event caused tensions to rise between colonists, and the Red Coats. British, and Americans fought it out to the death, for certain rights, that they wanted.
  • Boston Tea Party

    The Boston Tea Party has always been misunderstood. The Boston Tea Party was not planned.

    Lexington and Concord
    It was one of the first militia based battles of the Revolutionary War. This date is a holiday in parts of Massachusetts.

    This event is more often known as Breed's Hill. This was one of the first major battle, in the American Revolution.

    This event was meant to mark the end of a war. It was a peace offering, to settle any indifferences. They didn't want to start anything, they just wanted to gain self-government.

    This was the first victory by Washington in the Revolutionary War. The colonists did win, and it lasted about thirteen days.

    It established the reasons for the colonies delcaring independance. This document, is the most imporant in all of United States history.

    This was one of the first really major victories for the Americans, and George Washington. This battle got the word out to other troops, the Washington was a powerful leader, and that they had a lot of skill.

    This helped the Americans gain conficdence in their army. Therefore, this was another major victory.

    This was one of the smaller conflicts. This was the first American victory.

    This was known as the turning point for the American Revolution. The French realized that Americans surrendered to the British, they made an alliance with the Americans.

    This was a showing of endurance for the Americans. This battle started during the harsh winter months, therefore, snow, and very low temperatures were apparent.
  • Battle of Yorktown

    Battle of Yorktown
    This was a victory made by the Americans, and French combined, since they had an alliance. Some called it, "The beginning of the end".
  • The Treaty of Paris

    The Treaty of Paris
    The Treaty of Paris, officially ended the American Revolution. Great Britain finally recognized the American independance.
