Abraham Lincoln
President Lincoln is so important because he helped win the Civil war. Following this accomplisment, he freed the slaves. He also wrote a document named the "Emancipation Proclaimation", which had to do with the slaves/slavery. -
Andrew Johnson
Johnson was mainly important because of his Alaskan purchase from the Russians in 1867. He was also the first president ever to be impeached. Only one person voted to keep him in office. -
Ulysses S. Grant
Having Grant as a president was "lucky" because he was invited to go with Lincoln to the Theater and he would've been a target as well as President Abe. Fortunatly, he had somewhere else to go. Grant's parents we're the only parents to see Grant get inaugerated. Grant was also one of the only 3 presidents to graduate from West Point Military Academy in 1843. -
Rutherford B. Hayes
President Hayes' accomplishments included how he served in the civil war. He also signed the Domsetic Act. Another thing he did was sign a bill requirement for black rights. -

President McKinley was highly important because he helped win the battle of the Spanish-American war. In result of the Spanish-American war, he settled a peace settlement. He also raised protective tarrifs to promote the American Industry. -
Theodore Roosevelt
President Roosevelt was the only President to win a Nobel Prize and a Congressional Medal of Honor. He was also the youngest President to become President. Also, he is the reason that we now have National Park Systems. -
Woodrow Wilson
President Woodrow Wilson was important to the US because he passed the 19th amendment. He also accomplished a Federal Reserve Act. Lastly, he delcared victory on WWI. -
Calvin Coolidge
President Coolidge was the first president to have their inaugeration put on live radio. Another thing, Coolidge's Inauguration was the first time that former President Taft swore him into his presidency. Coolidge also got credit for the Dawes Plan, which helped save Germany from a whole bunch of disaster. -
Herbert Hoover
Herbert Hoover was only about 3 months president when the great depression happened. He got rid of it within about 10 years. He's also a good president because he urged American households to conserve food, and in so doing, more food was made available to send overseas for the troops during WWI. This made him pretty well-known. (other than the fact that he's the president.)
