    Alexander Dumas died in Seine-Maritime, France on October 5, 1870. The French writer died of natural causes at the age of 68, he died poor as when his books were sold he showed his extravagant tastes and therefore dug himself into debt with his creditors. Notable works of his include: The Thee Musketeers, The Count of Montecristo, and The Man in the Iron Mask. While he was a prolific writer and wrote a number of books and plays, he is best known for the novels aforementioned.

    The Birth of Sophia Velasco
    Sophia Velasco was born on October 31, 2006. Historically, that was the date Martian Luther nailed his problems with the Catholic Church up. It is also Halloween or dia de los muertos in Mexico. She was born in soin medical center at 7:51 am; a C-section baby. She was 7 lbs even and was born with a large birthmark that had to be surgically removed as the doctors worried about skin cancer.

    On March 14, 2020 the word went out that SVA was to be closed for two weeks due to the coronavirus. At first everyone thought that they would return in two weeks and many students celebrated the break however when word went out that SVA would
    be doing online school for the foreseeable future, there was little to no celebration.The entire rest of that school year was done from home and the following year began with everyone coming every other day.
