The rookie
Marcus is the new kid on the block, moving from Kansas City because of his father. Being the rookie MVP quarterback of his junior year, Marcus tries out in hopes of making the team. Marcus meets an old man named Charlie, a weird 50 year old who has a dark secret that his family tries to hide. -
The tryouts
When Marcus came to the tryouts, He meet Troy popovich, a cocky self absorbed starting QB that had helped get the raiders a perfect season. He had a girlfriend named Alyssa, who the constantly have an on/off relationship. Alyssa starts flirting with Marcus In hopes of making Troy jealous. -
Something wrong....
Since Marcus had meet Charlie and started practicing with him, He realized something weird about Charlie, He looked fine, But deep down, it was like something was wrong, He could just walk out of stores without paying money and have 4 bottles of Gatorade. He kept calling Marcus, Mac. He would always pull pranks on an old exterminatior who he thinks is alive but died many years ago. Something like alzimers. -
Good news!
Even though Charlie had alzimers, there was way more to him being special, he was the king of pop! Charlie popovich, he played for the San Diego Chargers for 2 years, Then left to go play in the bengals. He got the nickname, "the king of pop" Because of how tough and powerful his hits were. Also Charlie was being inducted into the hall of fame for his old College, But his family thinks it's a terrible idea because he won't remember what happened back In college. -
Terrible....
During the raiders final game in the finals, their main QB Troy, Punched his teamate In the head while he was wearing a helmet, breaking troys hand. They couldn't put anyone else that's a good QB otherwise than Marcus himself. -
Even more terrible.
The game went on and the raiders had a 14-7 lead over the New York bucks. On the sidelines, Troy had not broken his hand and had only sprained it, making him able to play. On the 4th down, Troy came into the game and Marcus changed to wide receiver.Troy threw a wonderful pass to Marcus but Marcus saw a huge defensive back coming straight at him. The back rammed into Marcus knocking him out cold. -
The death of the linebacker
When Marcus woke up from being knocked out, The mascot from the opposite team looked like the mascot Charlie described. He if Charlie saw that mascot, He was going to chase it down and beat it up. Marcus started running to the stairs because he realized Charlie saw that he had seen the bird and starting to come towards the bird. Marcus screamed "Charlie no!!" And closed his eyes but when he opened them,Charlie wasn't there, He was at the bottom of the Ground. 50 foot fall. Dead. -
Even more good news
Marcus finally figured out why Charlie kept on calling him Mac because Charlie, use to have a friend named Mctavish that use to play college football with him. Now since Charlie has alzimers, He keeps thinking Marcus is Mac because he can only remember things in the past and sometimes present like how he has a wife and kids and how he has a car. Charlie also remembers a old college mascot from another college he hated and he would always beat the mascot up.
