    Joseph Nicéphore Niépce is very well known for the making of the very first permanently fixed photographic image. Niépce had used a camera obscura outfitted with a lens and a bitumen coated pewter plate to show a photo/image of his courtyard from the view of his window.

    Invention Of more Visible Image
    In 1829 French painter and physicist Louis Daguerre partnered with Niépce to try to reduce the amount of exposure and the time it took when taking a photo.The practice was further studied by Daguerre after the death of his fellow partner Niepce and was able to find an answer to the unmarked question.He figured that by exposing silver coated copper plates for shorter periods the faint pictured could be chemically changed into a more visible version.

    Oskar Barnack was an inventor and photographer born on 1st of November 1879 . Oskar Barnacks personal health and strength was starting to be affected by the weight of the tools making it hard to continue. He decided to try invent a way to make the tools lighter and have the same effect. He then invented a 35mm prototype camera for still photography. This advancement allowed the general public to use the equipment more and photography was slowly becoming more of a hobby than a job.

Edwin’s daughter who was curious to why the camera didn't print the photo straight after it was taken.This question then created a spark in the mind of Edwin Land and it was soon his goal to invent an instant print Polaroid.
