Ernest Mach was a Czech scientist and philosopher, born in 1838 and died in 1916. His 1st significant discovery in the 1860s was in "Mach bands." Also known as "Doppler's law." His experiments led to the 1st ever pictures of optical experiments like newtons rings, change by reflection, and diffraction.

Ernest's doppler effect research jumpstarted other sciences, like studying shock waves. In the research, he used oscillating pendulum pairs, this asserts a proportion of sensation to the logarithm of physical intensity. Bullets were also another way to study shock waves.
