    Chomsky graduated from the University of Pennsylvania based on the work of one chapter in a book which would later be published as “The Logical structure of Linguistic Theory.” After Graduation he began as a Professor at renowned MIT.

    1965 – Aspects of the Theory of Syntax
    This work became the standard reference for syntacticians. Aspects introduced the lexicon as the new idea of idiosyncratic information. He also at this time began working with Rene Descartes and Wilhelm von Humboldt.

    Chomsky published “Syntatic Structures” which challenged grammar as a mathematically precise system of rules and character structures.
