    Elizer's town is taken over by Hitler and his army. He goes from place to place, he is bruitally beaten. He was seperated from his mother and sister at the first stop after living the ghetto. The Red Army then starts to make advances on the camps. Elizer had to witness many tragic things. He had to witness his father strugggle to stay alive in the winter while they were running from the red army. His father then died. America then rescues all of the survivors.
