This book addressed women who had everything that society said they should want. For example, husbands who are good suppliers, healthy children, and a house in the suburbs. It helped women see that isn’t what life is all about, and it got the dissatisfied housewives meeting together to discuss their roles in society. -
United Farm Worker's Nationwide Boycott
This boycott was for when the growers refused to grant more pay, better working conditions, and union recognition. Chavez organized this successful boycott of grapes picked on nonunion farms. -

Woodstock
Woodstock is a music festival to have popular artist perform. This concert was to be considered to be the definitive tie for the larger counterculture generation. There was more than half a million people there to see all the popular artists. It was on a farm in Wallkill, New York. -

Wounded Knee
Followers of the American Indian Movement siezed and occupied the town of Wounded Knee. The protestors attacked the United States government's failure to fulfill treaties with Indian peoples and demanded the reopening of treaty negotiations.
