Future Farmers Club
Virginia was the first state to have Future Farmers Clubs for boys. -
National Organization
FFA became a national organization. A network of teachers giuded the establisment of FFA as a team effort to etsbalish a club for boys with similar farm interest. -
NFA
NFA was formed (New Farmers of America) for black students. -
Federal Charter
FFA became one of a few student organizations to recieve a Federal Charter form Congress (Public Law 740). -
Merging
FFA and NFA merged. -
Girls in FFA
For the first time girls were allowed in FFA. -
Name Change
Name changed from Future Farmers of America to National FFA Organization to reflect the growing diversity in the agriculture industry. -
Convention
National Convention completes 7 year run in Indianoplois and returns to Louisville, Kentucky in 2013 for 3 years.
