Vincent Van Gogh was born in Zundert, Holland,he was the son of a pastor.

Gauguin, Vincent's friend decided to leave Arles. After some arguments with Vincent, he ended up cutting his own ear off.

He was sent to the asylum in Saint Remy suffering from depression.While there he painted some 150 paintings, among them the famous "Starry Night".

Vincent left the clinic and went to the physician Paul Gachet in Auvers Sur-Oise near Paris, where he was closer to his brother, Theo.

At the age of 37, Van Gogh shot himself in th chest and he died two days later.
