    The single-lens camera is arguably the first film device ever created. Louis le prince is the inventor of the single-lens camera and is known for being the first person to invent a motion picture camera. The job of the single lens camera was to shoot Louis films he wanted to create.
  • The first silent film

    The first silent film
    Louis le prince released the first silent film in 1888 in Roundhay, Leeds. he made it possible for someone to watch a short movie with multiple pictures playing back and forth, allowing people to have a new type of entertainment.
  • The Kinescope

    The Kinescope
    The Kinescope was the first motion picture machine created by Thomas Edison and his assistant William Dickson in 1891. The device allowed a viewer to look inside a box and see moving pictures without sound.

    Sound in films
    The first sound film was created by William Dickson. He produced a movie with sound called The Dickson Experimental Sound Film. It was made with the Kinescope, and the purpose was to be the first film with sound availability and let the viewer not only watch but be able to hear the film. The creation of sound films helped motion pictures advance to what we have now.

    The Lumiere brother Louis and Auguste helped advance the motion picture industry. They took inspiration from Ediosn's design and created a better camera called the Cinématographe, which could record, develop, and project film. It allowed the viewer to see the pictures on a big screen instead of a tiny hole in a box.

    Color in films was possible because British photographer Edward Raymond Turner patented color motion picture film in 1899. Color in the film industry adds depth to the movies and benefits the tone of the film.

    The creation of the subtitles allowed viewers from different countries to understand the film driving it to help improve a better experience for the watcher. Subtitles helped improve film because some people wither cant listen well or read so, others don't understand what their saying. Subtitles helped further advance motion pictures.

    The first animated movie was created in 1908 by Chol. Animation in the film industry allowed him and others to construct things humans couldn't do. Animation helped obtain a new type of entertainment that people have seen before and by doing so it created an advancement allowing others to follow behind making projects that are different than life action.

    Films did so well during the 40s due to being an experimental time where many film directors did so many random things that excited so many people into going to see them. Especially when the advances in the film helped give filmmakers bigger pallets to work with.

    Westworld was made in 1973 and set a significant improvement in motion picture films. CGI was created in 1972. CGI made it possible to watch a movie with cool effects and helped twist reality and fantasy together, further advancing the motion picture industry.

    Digital recording was created to help modernize the way films were produced. Digital recording replaced reels of film and helped with sound, color, and quality.

    VHS
    The VHS was created in 1977 by J.V.C. The VHS allowed viewers to buy movies while still in the theater. They were also able to film movies and put them on VHS for better storage helping the rate at which a film was completed.
  • HDTV

    HDTV
    The HDTV was created by Sony and other big corporations in 1988. HDTV improved the film industry by enhancing film grades such: as color and sound, and helped improve the film to give the viewer a better experience and grew population in the late 2000s.
  • 3D

    3D
    The use of 3D was all over the year 2010 even though 3D was created in the late 1900s, 2010 scooped it back up and started to make a lot of films with it and attracted an insane amount of viewers. A lot of films that used the 3D format were animated.
  • The present time

    The way films are presented to us today is amazing. They made it possible to apply everything that helped evolve motion picture and use it in one film and be able to create remarkable works of art. Film directors and their teams made it possible to add animations and full color and sound to every tiny inch of the big screen.
