     Crozer Theological Seminary
    King attended Crozer Theogical Seminary. He graduated in 1951. When he was done there he contuined his studies at Boston University.

    Shortly after MLK Got his doctorate in theology, He became apart of Montgomery's civil rights struggle. He was apart of the Women's Political Council.

    At this point they carried on with their boycotts. Since MLK was their leader, he was their responability. Dr. Kings house was bombed because he was their leader.The city also pressed charges for them boycotting.

    On December 1, 1955, Rosa Parks was arrested. She was arrested because she didn't want to move to the back of a city bus. She thought that it wasn't fair that americans got more rights then african americans.

    MIA stands for Montgomery Improvement Association. It was lead by african american leaders.
  • MLK became MIA's Presidant

    MLK became MIA's Presidant
    MLK was elected the President of the Montgomery Improvement Association (MIA). The mayor of Montgomery however, refused to talk to their representative (MLK) until they stopped their boycotts.

    DR.King became the head chairmen of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference.
