    The Industrial revolution helped in population growth and helped in most of the humans needs at that time but it did the opposite to the environment. Humans needed materials to build their machines, so they mined in search of materials to produce metals. Other machines used large amount of fuel in the form of trees and coal, which when burn released toxic gases into the atmosphere contaminating it. Due to this the urban consumer society arose.

    Conservation movement grows, because the passenger pigeon was once considered one of the most abundant birds in the planet and it went extinct in just a century. Concern for tigers, rhinoceros and other species appear, because they where commonly hunted animals. With this conservation groups start to appear with the single objective, to prevent more animal extinctions.

Businesses with environmental friendly appeared and helped by reducing the amount of toxic waste production.

    The Bhopal accident was the release of toxic gases to the atmosphere which caused hundreds of deaths and animal death this is known as one of the World's worst industrial disaster. It not only killed humans but also animals like cows who were affected by the toxic gases and left dead in the roads. Plants also were affected by the gases becoming contaminated killing everyone whom ate them like animals.

    The released of radiation made it impossible for people to live near the area were the reactor was located, animal and plant live continue to coexist around the area but under the effects of radiation. Even though humans build a dome around the reactors to reduce the amount of radiation escaping into the atmosphere it still affects the environment until now. Animals and plants now present mutations due to the high amounts of radiation found near the area of the reactor.
