    King was arrested at a sit-in demonstration in Atlanta and was sentenced to four months of hard labor.

    King was arrested for ignoring the state court. During his time in jail, he wrote the famous Letter from a Birmingham Jail which was a nonviolent resistance to the racist acts that were going on.
  • "I Have A Dream"

    "I Have A Dream"
    King delivered the famous "I Have A Dream" speech prior to the March on Washington.
  • Lorianne Motel

    King was shot and killed at the Lorianne Motel. He was then later buried in Atlanta.
