    Martin Luther King Jr was born in Atlanta Georgia. Martins dad and grand father were both ministers. Martin was a smart kid , his mother was a elemantry school teacher so she tought him how to read before he went to school. Martin was so smart he even skiped 9th and 12th grade. Martin did how ever have a normal kid life though he liked to do things like play sports and ride his bike and things like that.

    The middle child of the Reverend Martins Sr. and Alberta Williams King. King Jr. had an older sister, Willie Christine King, and a younger brother, Alfred Daniel Williams King.

    When martin was little he loved to play outside with friends but one day they went to one of his friends house. But when his mom saw Martins color she told her son to come inside immediately and told martin to not come back again. Thats when Martin started to think that he was different.

    Martin was amitted to morhouse collage when he was 15 years old. When Martin was 19 years old he graduated from morehouse collage. After he graduated from collage he entered Crozer Theological Seminary when he was 19. So martin was doing really good in his young adult life.

    Martin married Coretta Scott at her parent’s home in Marion Alabama on june 18th. Coretta was the younger daughter of Obadiah and Bernice McMurray Scott when he was 24 and Coretta was 26.

    King then began doctoral studies in systematic theology at Boston University and received his Doctor of Philosophy on June 5, 1955, with a dissertation on "A Comparison of the Conceptions of God in the Thinking of Paul Tillich and Henry Nelson Wieman".

    The older Martin got the more unfair that he got treated. On December 1st 1955 Rosa Parks was arrested for not moving on the bus because a man wanted her seat. Martin Luther was pastor of the Dexter Avenue Baptist Church in Montgomery. He and other African American community leaders thought a protest needed. December 5th the African American's of the city refused to use the buses. Most walked those few with cars arranged rides for friends and strangers some even rode mules.

    Martin meets with President John F. Kennedy after their meeting Martin delivered his popular I Have a Dream speech on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial to a crowd estimated at 250,000 people at the Washington for Jobs and Freedom.

    In 1964, King became the youngest person to receive the Nobel Peace Prize for his work to end racial segregation and racial discrimination through civil disobedience and other nonviolent means.

    On the evening of April 4, 1968 Martin was standing on the balcony of his motel room in Memphis Tennessee, where he was supposed to lead a protest march in sympathy with striking garbage workers of that city, he was assassinated by James Earl Ray.
