Martin Luther decided to make a partial, "ceremonial" march, as there were already many protesters ready. Arriving at the point of the Edmund Pettus Bridge, King decided to step back in that march; thus, not exceeding the limit of the order issued by the federal district judge, nor reaching Montgomery, they would be expected in a third round. -
