    Battle of Britain w/ the Blitz
    Germany vs Britain
    Germans where waging an air war by bombing Britain becasue they knew they cound not compare to British navy.
    The RAF fought back with the help of radar so the Nazi planes could bomb them.
    Allied Victory.

  • Battle of the Atlantic

    Atlantic Ocean
    German ships were sinking any AMerican ships heading out to give war goods and food to Britain and Soviet Union. They were doing this so Britain and Soviet Union supplies were cut off.
    The U.S. turned the tide by using destroyers and airplanes equipped with sonar to locate and sink German U-boats faster than they could make them.
    Allied Victory.

    Stalingrad, Soviet Union
    German tropps were wiping out Stalingrad until Soviet Union launched a counter attack in winter.
    German officer and soon after his soliders surrendered. The Soviet vitory marked a turning point in the war.

    Part of the western desert campagin
    Battle was a stailmate but prevented from the axis making another push into Egypt.
    The Battle of El Alamein marked the culmination of the World War II North African campaign between the British Empire and the German-Italian army. Deploying a far larger contingent of soldiers and tanks than the opposition British.

    Allies invaded Italy before moving onto Germany because they thought it would make it a lot eaiser for them to get to Germany.
    After it fell to the Allies German troops tried taking it bck by fighting but retreated when Germany almost collapsed.

    Allies launched the largest laand/sea invasion in Army history. German defenses were good on the beaches but didnt prove to be good enough to stop the large invasion.
    Allies were able to take over the beach heads which made it easier for them to start taking over the rest of France.
    Allied Victory.

    German tropps launched an attack to split AMerican and British forces. Germans masacred 120 allied soliders in a feild in Malmedy.
    Germans wanted to create a bulge and split Allied forces in two but the Geermans suffered many loses and allies drove them back.
