    The Battle of Shiloh occured in Tennesse woods where a union army under Major General Ulyssess S Grant was surprise attacked by Confederate forces under Generals Albert Sidney Johnston and Pierre G. T. Beauregard. Grant got unexpected reinforcements and launched a counter attack. The battle went on for days.
