Agatha is granted a divorce from her husband, Archie, He will later marry the woman he was having an affair with.

Agatha collaborates with other crime writers, for a popular BBC radio programme called behind the Screen. Her first radio episode is called, Something is Missing and sadly no longer survives.

Much to the disapproval of her older sister Madge, Agatha marries Max. They choose to marry in Scotland.

Agatha begins writing the very last Poirot story. This will not be published for another 35 years.

Agatha pens Absent in the Spring, a Mary Westmacott novel, in an exhausting three-day writing frenzy.

Agatha quits work on a new play, to spend time with her daughter after the loss of her husband.

Agatha begins work on her fourth Mary Westmacott novel.
Mon 9th Sep, 1946 -
In time The Mousetrap will become Agatha's most famous play. it will win a Guinness World Record for the longest continuously running play in the world. You can still see it at St Martin's Theatre, London.

Agatha is awarded a CBE, by the Queen in the New Years Honours list. CBE stands for Commander of the British Empire.

Two inmates escape from Wormwood Scrubs prison during a special performance of The Mousetrap held at the prison.

15 years after she first started writing it, Agatha completes her autobiography. It will be published after her death.

Agatha dies at Winterbrook House aged 85.
