    John Locke Liberalism
    John Locke was a philospher who believed that people had natural tights when they were born. He also believed that a government with power was the way to g, he wasn't in favor with a monarchy. One of his other thoughts was that people should overthrow their governments. John Locke shows political liberalism because of his thought of natural rights. Governments should help people keep these rights, and if they dont they can start to change their government.

    Thomas Hobbes Conservative
    Thomas Hobbes was a philospher who thought that people were cruel and greedy. He thought that people enter a social contract so there would be an organized, and more government so people would be under control. Thomas Hobbes connects to conservatism because he thought that governments exist to protect people from each other. Without the government/monarchies society would thought have been chaotic.

    Montesquieu was a philospher during the Enlightenment. One of the things he did was end absolute monarchy and balance power. He did agree with having a democracy. Montesquieuconnects with liberalism because he did not like having an absolute monarchy, and only wanted a monarchy with some power. A liberalist is opposed of a monarchy and tries to help the people.

    Rousseau was a philospher who was influenced by the French Revolution. He wrote the social contract which in summary is Rousseau's views on justice with politics. He believed that people should vote for their government and also believed that people were good it's just that society choses to go against them. Rousseau connects to liberalism because he does go against a few of the ideas of government.

    Alexander Hamilton Conservative
    Alexander Hamilton was one of the founding fathers of the United States of America, and the first US secertery of the treasury. Due to him wanting and creating a democracy he would be viewed as a conservative. Only the founding fathers set up the constitution, and Hamilton was a big promotor of it. He came up with the idea of having the government set up into three branches(legislative, judical, and executive).

    Thomas Jefferson was a liberal who thought people were more important than anything. While he was the president he tried protecting our independance and our freedom of religion. Thomas Jefferson connects with liberalism because it was people over anything else. Thomas Jefferson used money as an example of how it should belong to the people and not just the banks.

    John Adams was the 6th President of the United Startes of America. During his presidency he had domestic policies that were raising tariffis(taxes) to fund different things like building roads and making a national bank. Also, his native american policy. The native americans wanted more land, and that never happened they should have been treated just like the regular americans. This led to the Indians being removed from the land. That time was the trial of tears.

    As former president Bill Clinton was in office for two terms(8 years). During his presidency Bill Clinton made a few changes. He made a new foreign policy that sent hundreds and thousands of of troops to many foeign countries. This killed many of our troops.He should be protecting us and not killing our troops.

    George W. Bush was former president. He was in office for two terms. Due to living in his home state Texas he was in a border state which led to the immigration reform. He had a few policies that let hispanics into these states for a better life rather them being in their own country. George W. Bush can relate to liberalism because he's doing this for the people; trying to help them out.

    While serving his second term as president Barack Obama has many important decisions he has to make for the country.
    today he is viewed as a conservative for the things he does. For example he disagreed with people using weapons for self- defense in a situation in their homes.
