Operation Barbarossa
Germany invaded the Soviet Union. This invasion was the largest land invasion ever. After breaking France and Poland Germany hoped that they could break Russia before the winter. -
Operation Torch
The first American troops entered the European war. They landed in French Morocco and they pushed the Germans east while the British pushed west. -
Operation Overlord (D-Day)
The mission was to take Mack France starting with the beach of Normandy. America, Britain, Canada all landed on the beach and there goal was to push and attack the bunkers stationed at the top of the hills. -
Yalta Conference
This was a meeting with the UK, Us, and Soviet Union. They discussed post-war reorganization.
