  • Operation Sea Lion

    Operation Sea Lion
    Hitler launched Operation Sea Lion. Operation Sea Lion was a planned German invasion on Britain. Britains Royal Air Force and the German Luftwaffe battled. This happened from June to October, this was for control of the skies.
  • Operation Barbarossa

    Operation Barbarossa
    Hitler broke the German-Soviet non-aggression pact on June 22, 1941. This meant Germany invaded the Soviet Union. He did this because he wanted to gain agricultural land and eliminate the threat of Stalin’s Soviet Union.
  • Operation Torch

    In North Africa in 1942 the British victory at El Alamein began pushing the Germans back. In November the first American combat troops entered the European war. Landing in French Morocco and pushing the Germans east while the British pushed west.
  • Operation Overload

    Operation Overload
    The Western Allies of World War II started an invasion when they assaulted Normandy. Located on the northern coast of France on June 6, 1944. Operation Torch was the first time the British and Americans had jointly worked on an invasion plan together.

    The Yalta Conference or other known as Crimea Conference was held from February 4th to the 11th.The meeting was to discuss the re-establishment of the nations of war-torn Europe. This World War II meeting comprised the heads of government of the United States, the United Kingdom, and the Soviet Union.

    The Battle of Berlin
    The Battle of Berlin was the last major battle in Europe during World War II. It resulted in the surrender of the German army. The battle began on April 16, 1945 and lasted until May 2, 1945.
