    Cesar Chavez
    Cesar was born in Arizona near Yuma. At a very young age he and his family worked as migrant farmers and experienced terrible working conditions with even worse pay. Through his young experiences he was motivated to fight for the treatment and rights of farmers and later founded the national farm workers association in 1962.

    The American GI forum was an act to help Mexican Americans gain civil rights and also gave benefits to the latino veterans who didn't receive them from the GI bill of rights. The movement was lead by Hector P. Garcia and was supported by about 700 latino veterans.
