Booth is planning to kidnap Licoln with the help of some confederate army prisonoers. The plan to kidnap the President will not be carried out.

The Civil War has now ended and John and his partners meet to plan the assination of President Licoln.

Booth was picking up his mail at Fords Theatre, when he overheard say Licoln will be attending a show there later that day. Booth spends the next 8 hours of the day planning and gathering supplies with his partners Powell and Atzerodt.

Booth attends the show. He walks up to Licolns Presidential balcony and shoots him in the back of the head. Booth jumps off the balcony and breaks his leg but he escapes out of town on horseback.

Booth and one of his partners Herald plan to cross the Potomic River and go into Virginia and stay at a sympethetic Southerners house for a while. During the night they lose their way and don't make it to Virginia, instead they end up back in Maryland.

Booth and Herald finally get to Virginia and Confederate soldiers helped them cross the Potomic River. Then John and Herald stay in a barn owned by Richard Garrett.

Union soldiers close in on the barn where Booth and Herald were staying. Herald surrenders but Booth tries to escape, and is shot in the neck. John Wilkes Booth dies the next day on April, 26th 1865.
