  • Birth

    John Wilkes Booth was bor in Bel Air, Maryland. He was the ninth of ten children and was one of six to survive early childhood. He was son of JJunius booth, and sibling to Edwin, Asia, and Junius jr.
  • Labrotories and Chemical laws

    Justus Von Leibig Installed a labratory into his universtity, greatly improving his studies and soon other universities follwed
    Liebig's example. Soon after in the year Liebig showed chemical laws apply to inanimate objects and lving things alike.
  • Opthalmascope

    In 1850 Hermann von Helmotz Invented the Opthalmascope, which allowed doctors to look into eyes. This helped Doctors diagnose eye diseases and prevent blindness. (full date Unknown)

    When Booth turned 17, he played a role on Richard III and became a sensation. He soon after started a tour around the country in Shakespearian plays. (True date unknown)
  • Second Opium war

    China loses again to Britain in the second Opium War, making them agree to the Treaty of Tienstin. This made China force new trade rights and give christains rights and land ownership in China. The treaty also gave Britian some control of China's ports.
  • Politcal standpoint

    Booth became politically known joining the Know-nothing party which strongly supported slavery and non African American rights. In 1859 he joined up with a virginia company that helped capturr John Brown after his raid on Harpers Ferry. (true date Unkown)
  • Foriegn struggles

    China struggles to attempt reforms to the country to meet the challenge of western political and military power. They try to do this while trying to keep old Chinese customs and values and fail to do so in the late 1800's.
  • The Germ Theory

    Louis Pastuer snd Robert Koch make developments to The Germ thoery from 1861 onward. The microscope helped greatly with these advancements. This would help make advancements in medcinal advancements.
  • Secret Service

    Booth joined the confederate secret service during the civil war, constanly meeting up with confedrate spies, exchanging information. He gathered information and sent it up to Montreal, which aided the south in the war.
  • First Attempt

    Before the Assassination in Ford's Theater, Booth planned less drastic measures. Booth was going to capture Lincoln and ship him to Richmond for ransom and confederate Prisoners of war. On the day of the kidnapping, the President did not show. The fall of Richmond happening soon after, Booth decided to soon after to take a final chance.
  • Assasination

    At around 10:15 booth entered the Presidents box at Fords Theater, walking up behind him and shooting him in the back of the head. After mortally woundong Major Henry Rathbone, also in attendance, with a knife, he leaped out of the box onto the stage. The major manged to grab Booth, causing him to fall and fracture his leg. He then turned the stage and shouted "Sic Semper Tryannus!" and left through the back of the stage, jumping onto his horse and riding off into the dark streets of Washington
  • Medical Attention

    Soon after escaping Washington, Booth rode to Dr. Samuel Mudd's house, Where he had his leg treated and bandaged. He then set out the next morning, riding wherever he was admitted.
  • Freedom?

    John wilkes Booth crosses Port Conway into Virgnia, making it to the
    South. Booth Then became overjoyed and bieleved he was safe from harm. He would soon find out this was not so.
  • Final Destination

    Booth made it to Virginia, and arrived at Garret's farm. He beilived he had made it to sancturary for a while and would be safe until his escape to Mexico. Little did he know he would be fightng for his life in a matter of days.
  • Death

    After 12 days of chasing, the Union Calvary finally catches up to Booth at Garrets farm. Booth hides out in a small barn Surronded by investigators. Booth, heavily armed and refusing to come out, forced the men to set the barn on fire. Still refusing to come out, Officer Boston Corbett, stuck his gun through a hole in the wall on the side of the barn and fired, hitting Booth in the throat. Officers pulled a dying Booth out of the flames and into the Garret farm, where he died soon after.
