John A. Dupré was born on July 3rd, 1952 in England to John and Catherine Dupré.

Dupré received his bachelor’s degree at Oxford University and received a PhD from University of Cambridge in England.

Dupré became a Professor of Philosophy at Birkbeck College but resigned in 2000.

From 2002 to 2008, Dupré has written an enormous number of publications with other philosophers to include; The Disorder of Things, Human Nature and the Limits of Science, Darwin’s Legacy, The Constituents of Life, and more.

From 2011 to 2013, Dupre was elected President of the British Society for the Philosophy of Science.

Dupre became an Honorary International member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
