In 1960 Imre Lakatos was given a position at London school of Economics. He then wrote his philosophy of mathematics and philosophy of science. He later graduated with his PhD in 1961 with his doctoral thesis being “Essays in the Logic of Mathematical Discovery”. His works from this would later be published after his death.
