    Germany and Russia agreed to not go into fighting if the other one goes to war and to divide up the Slavic states. Secretly, this made Hitler more confident in his plans.

    Japan bombed America's port in Honolulu, Hawaii. After Japan bombed neutral America by surprise, America joined the war.

    Japan was against America and Australia in a naval battle in the sea between Australia and New Guinea. It was an Allied strategic victory. It ended 4 days later on 8 May 1942.
