A group of black students were blocked from entering a high school that they were attending, they were chased through the streets and brutally attacked. They even needed troops to help escort them around. -
A group of activists with 4 african american people walked into a restaurant to protest segregation and asked to be served. People were yelling and calling the cops and they all went to jail. -
A six-year old had to be escorted into an elementary school because of the protests and violence because they desegregated -
Through 1961, groups of people protested bus segregation, they also attempted to use "Whites Only" restrooms and counters. They were met with horrific violence. -
