The first documented person who came into Arizona as an immigrant was Marcos de Niza. He was followed later in time by the more popular, Francisco Vásquez de Coronado. Coronado came to America because of stories that had been passed down of, "Seven Golden Cities." His expedition failed but he found major landmarks and enjoyed his time their before he went back to Mexico.

The first settlement in Arizona was around the year of 1752. It was a white settlement and it occured in Tubac, Arizona.
