    HISTORY OF PHOTOGRAPHY

  • The first photography

    The first photography
On a summer day in 1827, Joseph Nicephore Niepce made the first photographic image with a camera obscura. They was in 8 hours.
  • Exposure time was reduced by Louis Daguerre

Exposure time was reduced by Louis Daguerre
Louis Daguerre was also experimenting to find a way to capture an image, but it would take him another dozen years before Daguerre was able to reduce exposure time to less than 30 minutes and keep the image from disappearing afterwards.
    He was invented the DAGUERROTYPE.
  • Negative to positive project

    Negative to positive project
Talbot sensitized paper to light with a silver salt solution. He then exposed the paper to light. The background became black, and the subject was rendered in gradations of grey. This was a negative image, and from the paper negative, Talbot made contact prints, reversing the light and shadows to create a detailed picture. In 1841, he perfected this paper-negative process and called it a calotype, Greek for beautiful picture.
  • The first permanent color photo

    The first permanent color photo
Scottish physicist James Clerk-Maxwell demonstrates a color photography system involving three black and white photographs, each taken through a red, green, or blue filter. The photos were turned into lantern slides and projected in registration with the same color filters. This is the "color separation" method.
  • Photographic film was invented

  • The hand held camera

    The hand held camera
Hand-held camera shots often result in an image that is perceptibly shakier than that of a tripod-mounted camera. Purposeful use of this technique is called shaky camera and can be heightened by the camera operator during filming, or artificially simulated in post-production. To prevent shaky shots, a number of image stabilization technologies have been used on hand-held cameras including optical, digital and mechanical methods. The Steadicam, which is not considered to be a "hand-held" camera,
  • The modern flash bulb was invented

The modern flash bulb was invented
The first company to produce flash bulbs (Sashalite bulbs) was General Electric UK in 1927. The bulbs gave light by burning a mesh of thinnest crumpled aluminum wires and foils in an instant, ignited by the power of a simple battery.
The bulbs could be used only once. Immediately, they replaced the unwieldy and dangerous earliest magnesium light equipments. This process evolved during the WW II with the invention of electronic flashes giving light from electronic gas-discharge tubes. It became
