The vanguard 1 satellie is launched into orbit, it is the first manmade satallite to have lived longer than three years, its designed to stay in orbit for tough and harsh conditions.

John F. kennedy gives a important speech about the importance of the moon program, the speech was about the great achivement to have the first man to step on the surface of the moon.
