    Vaudeville was a theatre. In 1906 Vaudeville started showing small movies in between plays. This increased the amount of people who came, but was later replaced with Nickelodeons.

    At this time, MPPC was founded. This company was founded by Thomas Edison and had the monopoly on the movie industry. This drove many movie creators to California were Hollywood was made.

    The first movie to be considered a blockbuster was Jaws. It earned $100 million in box offices. This movie was about a shark.

    The first movie to use 3D CGI was Futureworld in 1976. Jurassic Park made it popular, however. It is still used in the film industry to this day.
